SiteExecutive 4.1 – Enhancement Pack 1
New Content Management Capabilities Streamline Site Development, Enhance Visitor Experience
Enhancement Pack 1 (EP 1) for SiteExecutive 4.1 provides several key enhancements described below:
Profile Directory Enhancements
The SiteExecutive Profile Directory module provides functionality for building, managing, searching and displaying profile directories, commonly used for faculty, member, physician or other group directories. EP 1 extends the module's functionality by adding two new display modes and new profile creation capabilities described below:
- Featured Profile Mode – displays a single profile “snapshot,” consisting of a thumbnail photograph or image, name and email address. The layout of content included in the snapshot can be customized using XSL, making it possible to add any other content captured in a person’s profile record to the snapshot.
- Related Profiles Mode – identifies and displays a list of profiles matching specific, pre-determined criteria. Module provides control over number of profiles displayed; profile layout can be customized using XSL.
- Profile content formatting – the profile creation interface now includes a custom field with a light-weight WYSIWYG editor. This provides a mechanism for adding formatting, such as italicizing the titles of publications, as well as hyperlinks, and bulleted lists to a person’s profile.
Related Content Enhancements
EP 1 streamlines site development by simplifying the configuration of the Related Content module. The new process allows for facet-based matching. This gives users the option of installing the Related Content module on a template and having the module automatically match content based on the facet associated with each page sharing the template.
<HEAD> Tag Enhancements
Building upon the increased administrative control provided in SiteExecutive 4.1, Enhancement Pack 1 now provides power users with the ability to add custom code into the HTML Head element (<HEAD>) on pages and templates, such as:
- Calls to browser-centric style sheets for devices not supported by media-specific CSS (e.g., Apple iPhone, IE 6 or below)
- Page-specific optimization tags (e.g., for running A-B testing)
- Previously unsupported Meta Tags
