Classification Module
Define, Build and Manage Content Hierarchies
The SiteExecutive Classification module lets you define, build and manage one or more classification hierarchies (aka controlled vocabularies) for describing the content on your Website. Classification is built on a three-tier model known as faceted classification, consisting of topics, facets and terms. Each topic is broken down into a collection of facets. Each facet has a set of related terms. For example:
Topic = Cars
Facets = Manufacturer, Body Type, Exterior Color, etc.
Terms related to the Facet “Manufacturer” = Audi, BMW, Buick, Chevrolet, Ford, etc.
Once you have defined a hierarchy, you can apply facets and terms to you content using the Related Content Module. Once content is tagged, it can be automatically displayed on relevant pages using the display component of the Related Content Module.
With the Classification Module you can:
- Define content hierarchies for describing all content on your site
- Improve the visitor experience by promoting relevant content
- Simplify site development by automatically populating your site with relevant content
