Systems Alliance Launches Redesigned Website for Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center

Web Presence Accelerates the Mission of Maryland’s Intelligence and Analysis Agency

HUNT VALLEY, Md., March 1, 2012 - Systems Alliance, a Web and IT consulting firm that helps clients build, assess and optimize online properties announced today it has completed and launched a redesigned website for the Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center (MCAC).  MCAC coordinates the efforts of federal, state and local agencies to gather, analyze, and share intelligence information with law enforcement, public health, and emergency responder personnel.

With more intuitive information architecture and an enhanced visual experience, the MCAC site now offers Maryland constituents and law enforcement officials up-to-date dynamic content on emerging threats. The site has been deployed on SiteExecutive, a dynamic web content management system that allows multiple non-technical content authors to contribute, edit and manage all types of rich media and content.

“Our new website provides a much more efficient communication platform for MCAC as we interact with a diverse group of law enforcement stakeholders, all focused on protecting Marylanders.” said Victor Williams, MCAC’s Director of Information Technology. “Easy to use, web based technology allows our law enforcement professionals to efficiently focus on their important work.”

Systems Alliance has implemented a series of SiteExecutive modules which enabled key MCAC communication processes. The Advanced Forms module allows site visitors to submit suspicious activity reports through the website. The Video Library Application allows MCAC to display relevant video content streamed from YouTube and other sources directly from the site.

“In a world of increasing complexity, MCAC’s ability to communicate quickly and clearly to Maryland residents is key. The redesigned site supports the important work of Maryland’s law enforcement community and helps them protect local residents,” said John Mohr, the Project Leader at Systems Alliance responsible for the MCAC project.

The completed re-design has enabled MCAC to visually align its website with the look and feel of other state affiliated organizations, as well as provide Maryland constituents with relevant and timely information. Along with successfully launching a social media campaign @MCAC_alerts, the new content management system has enabled MCAC to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time.
