SiteExecutive Success Story: Anne Arundel County

SiteExecutive improves constituent service

Challenge: The Anne Arundel County Government Website provides residents with access to information and services from more than 20 county agencies. Although the agencies had been responsible for generating site content, the actual updates were made by members of the County's IT staff. This created a bottleneck, which delayed the delivery of critical information to County residents.

Solution: Anne Arundel County Government selected SiteExecutive as the Web content management platform for its Internet and Intranet Websites. Using SiteExecutive, site updates are made in real-time by the agency personnel creating site content.

To enhance the County's ability to develop, manage and enhance its Web properties, Systems Alliance provided County personnel with indepth End-User and Best-Practices training. As a result, County personnel had the confidence and skills needed to build and deploy Web and intranet sites independent of Systems Alliance support, providing the County with significant cost savings.

In addition to providing the County with SiteExecutive and training, Systems Alliance also developed an online Phone Directory for the County Website that provides residents with fast access to the most commonly requested numbers for various County agencies and services.

By providing residents with access to the most up-to-date information, access to a growing array of services, including the ability to pay Property Tax and Utility bills online, the new Website is helping the County lower its operating costs and improve quality of life for members of the community.
